I thought the saying was “If it looks too good to be true it probably is too good to be true”.

I have this theory that GnK are on vacation the past three weeks and ghost writers and artists have been filling in. This seems reasonable to me because the last three weeks have been a fat nothingburger. Exactly the sort of thing fill-in writers would produce. Or it could be that instead of being on vacation Greg needs someone to whip out a couple weeks material to keep up with his deadlines. Or, god forbid, Greg has Covid and must have filler until he feels better. Either way this has been an embarrassment to kind of writing Greg was able to do in the past.

This week reminds me of the Family Circus strip when Billy takes over while dad is on vacation.

Next week… Countdown to Christmas, right? RIGHT???

I’m a little disappointed they didn’t buy it, to be honest. Would’ve been a fun arc, even if it ended in utter disaster.

I had a friend who bought a 60 year old car, he didn’t have a shop to work with metal so he ended up having to buy all the parts. Never finished the car and his wife presses him into selling it. Cost him a fortune.

It’s nice to see Toni happy with what she has♡. But after seeing how happy she was as a child in her father’s car and reading how important it was to her to repair cars with him, I hope that someday they will find a decent Pontiac to restore♡♡♡.

I think Toni will work on both engines – Brad’s and the car’s.

Toni is talking about working on Brad’s car engine. But Brad’s thinking of what of Toni meant, when she said “playing with his engine,” will probably happen as well.

You guys are wrong. He’s driving faster because they’re in a bad neighborhood and someone just shot at their car in P2!

Reading (at least some of) the comments above, Shannon really has been a part of this arc all along. Even without being mentioned, she’s still there.

As “rent free” in our heads as she is in Brad and Toni’s hovel.

Greg and Karen: Please, please, PLEASE! Tell us what happened to Jonah! Tell us how Brad and Toni became non-temporary, likely permanent custodians of Shannon!

Getting a little racey

I was kind of looking forward to them having a fun project to work on together. Instead they’re doing what someone suggested which was to put their $300 as a drop in the bucket towards the massive cost of a Southern California home (and returning to sexual innuendo). Couldn’t they have tried looking for another car to work on? It would have made a nice activity change from Shannon care when the strip comes back to them again.

Well, that was two weeks of filler. Everyone is right back in the exact position they started in (except for the couch, but apparently we’re all just supposed to forget that that ever happened at all.)

When did they rename this comic strip to “Fifty Shades of Grey?”

I think Toni’s speaking literally and Brad is thinking metaphorically here—-someone’s gonna be disappointed.

Greg Evans has sure been showing his dirty mind a lot lately.

Spending so much time restoring a wreck like the one they just left would in the overall scheme of things mean an enormous amount of time squandered, were it not for the fact that it would have meant time together, which is the real priority. That said, the priority that they eventually mutually agreed upon is much more efficient, while maintaining that crucial time spent together benefit. Driving faster indeed.
