I’m sure if you look more closely, you’ll see Congress IS under that rock. It’s where they live.

For all those saying they won’t vote, or only vote for the president… there are serious considerations for that office. For instance, whether we engage in a given diplomacy, or take aggressive positions. Things like these will affect all of us. However, regardless of what the talking heads, most economists agree that the president should not take credit nor blame for too much of recessions or inflation. There are not many actions that they can take to rectify it. Jobs, GDP and the like can be handled somewhat by presidential actions. Those things can have an impact on your financial situation and/or living conditions. However, by not researching and stating your desires by voting for your local officials and school boards, YOU are affecting your life. It’s your city council who decides whether you pay more in local taxes, or put a town dump near your house, or what books your children are exposed to at school. (By the way, it really doesn’t matter what stand the candidates take on federal election items such as women’s rights, healthcare, the war in Whereveristan unless they are going to vote your tax dollars on a specific issue.)Don’ get sucked into voting along party lines. The best you can do is list the things that are most important to you, and vote for the person that addresses (first), or promises to address (second) your concerns. If the incumbent has done what you want, or at least voted for what you want, give them your vote. If not, try another.Whether you support gun rights or not, vote for the candidate who has voted for YOUR concerns. Same with Women’s Rights or Right-to-Life.Politicians like to vote with their party, so you don’t necessarily get what YOU want. It’s up to you to hold them to their promises. And if you don’t vote, you loose the right to complain, unless you can’t vote because you’re a convicted felon. This is long, I know, but I think it is necessary to understand YOUR role in government.

God gave Moses the tablets only after Moses gave the proper password, AND provided the 2-part verification by using a number generated by the burning bush. Of course, none of this could happen without Moses being able to demonstrate he was not a robot by identifying which hieroglyphics contained a plague.
