Especially three sets of sad eyes. Impossible to ignore. Her’s are sad, too, though.

I used to get the sad looks times four and boy is it hard to resist. Figaro would also very very gently tap my leg just to make sure I saw them there, fading away in hunger, barely hanging on … :)

Those sad eyes remind me of Puss in Boots in “Shrek”!

Quillan had a whole dance routine to ask for treats. It was a progression from a slight head-tilt to a paw raise through to sit-up/paw-wave/full head-tilt/mew

I have two cocker spaniels plus two cat boys. Cockers have the sad eye thing down even when happy. The cats, however, would sing along with Puck. Just last night I looked Val (the acrobat cat) right in the eyes and said “that is the most pitiful starving cat song I ever heard and would be very effective on someone who does not know that all of you had good boy treats a mere hour ago”.

My dog does this to me.

…the big eyes bit. She doesn’t sing.

I get the sad eyes and the little taps on the arm when I have something like tuna or chicken that might be for cats.

My kitty doesn’t meow (or sing). She’ll sit and stare back and forth between the food and me (for as long as I can stand it, which isn’t that long).

Mine wails. She doesn’t do sad eyes (the Persian does that)—she demands her rightful tribute as The Boss.

While Scooby and TD aren’t especially fond of people food, save for Tuna, Py, the Imperial had a passion for Chicken, Ham and Hamburger that knew no bounds. He would sit on his Daddy’s recliner footrest if chicken was served and fix him with the world’s evilest cat glare, unless he got his portion before I served everybody else. And sometimes even after he wolfed his portion. I miss my big boy.

Don’t anyone’s cats besides our own do the “silent miaow”? That with the “sad eyes” is irresistible.

Taz sang me that song this morning. I made bacon.

I made breakfast burritos this morning.

Sweetheart got the stuff that fell out of the end.

She deserved it, for her patience.

She sat quietly at my knee. As i ate she watched every bite i took without singing once.

But, i did get the big sad eyes treatment.

The sudden song burst reminds me of my senior year in high school. I had life sciences at the same time some of the junior and sophomore classes had chemistry across the hall. Half the boys show choir was in that class, and we could always tell when they’d pushed Mrs. Brewer too far, as the strains of “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling” echoed down the hallway. Heard it at least once or twice a week the whole semester.

OMC!!! the last panel is priceless, Elvis holding his tail, Lupin dabbing at his tears with a tissue and Crooner Puck doing his best Bing Crosby (if Bing sang Foreigner) imitation. Thanks for starting my day off with an out loud laugh!!

This comic would be hilarious, if it wasn’t so true!

Whenever I come home with a rotisserie chicken, I get this as a result. Plus one 95lb Weimaraner. The kitties circle my neck like a necklace and get very small pieces of chicken for themselves and the dog gets a little chicken meat and cartilage for himself. Nothings like being appreciated for the food brought into the house. I’m not sure what any food tastes like without cat hair in it.

Sorry, cats. the sad look doesn’t work after you tried to steal ALL the chicken for yourselves. Especially you Elvis. I’m not giving you another chance to scratch up my hand.

My kitty doesn’t have to hit me with sad eyes. All she has to do is wait for me to say “Gracie! Look what mama’s got!”

For his next number Puck should sing “Food Glorious Food” from Oliver. With those eyes can’t you just hear him say, “Please sir, (or ma’am) I want some more”?

Should have gotten a tin of lovely smelly cat food to give them as a distraction while the chicken was being opened!

I just want to thank Georgia for redeeming ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’ for me. (Saw Rock of Ages on stage. Pretty much ruined it for me & half the audience.) Now I can hear it again.

When my cat wants something, her eyes seem to glare at me, as if she’s trying to hypnotize me into to dropping some food.

Like the little poem my father used to quote goes, “We don’t feed Rover at the table.Well, that is, if we can keep our eyes From meeting his.Oh, but we DON’T feed Rover at the table!…Well, that is…”We used to substitute cat names as needed when they were being particularly plaintive. Who can say no to puppycat eyes?

The baby looks like one of the Campbell Soup Kids.

I’ve had several cats who do the whole Dickens Character routine. It usually works.

My husband knows I’m the soft touch of the family, and told me today’s comic was especially amusing. It’s true. I can’t stand sad kitty eyes. Pounce and Logan help me eat my cereal, my yogurt, any meat I ever consume, and etc…. I’m hopeless.
