The medication DID say that it could cause drowsiness, and not to operate heavy machinery or enter into sword duels after taking it.

/// Here’s the fierce god of war, Mars, asleep.

He’d been counting blood-soaked slaughtered sheep.

    As he dozes, wars cease

    for a brief, fitful peace,

but the widows and orphans still weep.

Archie was tired of hearing that he was not suited to wear armor. Narcolepsy and heavy metal don’t mix well.

The downside: He was rusted in place and the oil can was out of reach. The upside: Good excuse for a nap.

It takes half an hour to get the armor off, so you want to take your time in the restroom.

    Mars Asleep

    Paste (including the quote marks)

    "Category:Paintings of armour" Wikimedia

(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found and once there find the text string Asleep, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed using the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary) about this roughly human size painting.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3305 (April 16, 2024) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 2 works by him have been used here, the May 28, 2014, strip being the prior. GoComics has deactivated the hyperlinks and removed the new lines in my extensive comment there; but, perhaps the text remains informative.

Those arm pieces don’t have any visible hinges to open them up. How on earth did he get them on?

(Oh, yeah, Mars. Guess Vulcan fashioned them in place at the beginning.)

He’s a method actor, waiting to read for the part of the Tin Man in a remake of The Wizard of Oz. He hadn’t worn the armor for so long that it rusted, and now he’s waiting while the rust is sanded out. (That stuff can really chafe when it rubs against his skin!)
