Why shouldn’t the weight of the world be on Nancy’s shoulders? Nancy is actually older than the current President of the USA! Nancy should run for the next election. She could probably do a better job.
It is utterly baffling that most of this feature, which originally was know for clever gags paired with eloquent artwork, is now just a bunch of cut and paste panels that look like MS Paint clip-art that is paired with agonizing “drama” over the oh so engaging “robot club”. Is A.I making this? The syndicate has always been so coy about Jaimes identity and any quality and craft on display up front with Nu Nancy has been drained away in favor of this tepid nonsense. An A.I being in charge would explain the redundant, awkward punchlines and the utterly illogical moments where the characters sit around spewing philosophy at the audience with an intensity reserved for freshman college students trying to get some at their first frat party.
