This is another example of the main stream media failing to do the job of simply telling the truth. They have failed miserably because they wanted to tell all sides of the story, even when they were well aware, or at least should have been that one side was making up the facts as they went along.

The media in rural America has been deliberately designed by 1%ers to produce MAGAts. They own the news outlets that broadcast the conservative propaganda. These are people who were raised listening to Rush Limbaugh and then Fox News. In some areas, the only actual news is on the local main stream networks, and they have bent over backwards for years to not take sides, even when one side is obviously lying. And, the people they have coffee with, go to church (or the bar) with etc are dealing with the same situation. That means that real people that you trust are backing up what you are getting from the propaganda machine. Unless you are a really intelligent, involved person, you are going to accept the world you see, unaware that it has been paid for and organized by people who are working against your best interests.

If the media is to be worth anything, they have to report what is being said and then explain how well it conforms to reality. Their failure to do this for the last few decades has produced a population that can’t tell when they are being lied to, and given us Trump.

Gee, why would hiring a paid lying shill be a bad idea for news?

Fox News could take a lesson from MSNBC, admit your mistakes and remove idiots flogging dangerous rhetoric as quick as you can.

Hiring Ronna McDaniel as a journalist is like hiring Sidney Powell to work for your law firm. The real professionals are going to have ting or two to say about that.
