Go ahead and let Letitia James put a padlock on the front door of Trump Towers. I hope she has the common sense to turn the lights off first. But if she has any balls, she’ll do it in person.
The gleeful petty TDS patients are salivating over the prospect of Trump’s empire collapsing but don’t hold your breath! The people of America have his back. Not to mention Putin in reserve. Haha!
In other news, for the first time ever, America is no longer among the top 20 of the happiest countries on earth. Search argument “top 20 happiest countries”.
Instead, it’s all those rotten “liberal” countries like Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
The U.S. is number 23. Come on MAGAs, blame “Biden” for that, too.
Where else but in hate Trump America do you need $454M to appeal stay out of jail when your case in on appeal
“My object all sublime I shall achieve in time —To let the punishment fit the crime —The punishment fit the crime;”—- Gilbert and Suillivan’s “The Mikado”
Cruel and unusual punishment is not justice. —- 8th Amendment.
Maybe Uncle Clarence can ask his sugar daddy to help out.
Or maybe big bro Putin can order one of his pet oligarchs to help out. After all, a President owned by a hostile foreign country is a small price to pay, right MAGAs?
Quite a few Americans like the idea of strongman rule. Why not a dictator who will get things done?
I lived in eastern Europe when memories of communism were fresh. I have visited regions in Ukraine where Russia imposed its occupation regime. I have spent decades reading testimonies of people who lived under Nazi or Stalinist rule. I have seen death pits, some old, some freshly dug. And I have friends who have lived under authoritarian regimes, including political prisoners and survivors of torture. Some of the people I trusted most have been assassinated.
So I think that there is an answer to this question.
Strongman rule is a fantasy. Essential to it is the idea that a strongman will be your strongman. He won’t. In a democracy, elected representatives listen to constituents. We take this for granted, and imagine that a dictator would owe us something. But the vote you cast for him affirms your irrelevance. The whole point is that the strongman owes us nothing. We get abused and we get used to it.
Image how the left will react when they realize it’s not going to end well for them. The whole case is a joke and no judge can take away Trump’s right to due process.
Fake News – Trump isn’t trying to round up any of his assets to pay off the debt – or even to offer as collateral for a bond – the only significant value he has left (after pledging his brokerage account to Chubb for the Carroll appeal) is his overvalued over-mortgaged real estate.
This wrong and violates the Constitution on several different levels. Has anyone noticed how many judgements have gone against Democrats for their violation of the Constitution? Latest news is that ‘Tish Jones is guilty of the exact same thing she accused President Trump of over the Irish Society Building scandal.
Could we all get serious please?!? Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together knows that ’rump – with the entire court system (right up to the SCOTUS) sucking his kneecaps and the entire gQp smooching his undercarriage – is going to delay, defer, appeal, yadayadayada, until the day he dies – and this will be dragging through the court system until mankind has colonized MARS.
The Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution states: “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.” This amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing unduly harsh penalties on criminal defendants, either as the price for obtaining pretrial release or as punishment for crime after conviction.
Not one of these posts refer to the 8th Amendment which rules against cruel and unusal punishment or excessive fines. Some of the most respected constitutional lawyers in the country have pointed out that Trump could benefit from exercising his right to this protection. Apparently, Letitia James does not know about the amendment, or she has chosen to completely ignore it to fulfill her pre-election promise to “get Trump.” Somone mentioned hatred (in reference to Trump). You want to see the hatred? Listen to James’ campign speeches.
I’m sure all your Dims have your assets in cash just laying around your house or in the bank to use in emergencies like this, which is pretty dumb if you are trying to increase your wealth.
Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
If anyone on here believes that Donald Trump is broke, it’s time for a head exam!! I say that jokingly, but he plans on getting over the same way he has been and how Fred taught him. Use OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY!!
NYC is doing but following the lead of that judge in ruling that the Second Amendment is null and void as to OPEN carry in Hawaii a because 1) the Constitution is so old that it can be ignored, and 2) Hawaii has a tradition of being peaveful and therefore no weapons are needed and should not be allowed amongst the citizens. As for New York, the non-political DA ran and won by saying, “Elect me and I will get Trump!” She never said what she thought he was guilty of. The judge, being an unbiased Dumbocrat, ignores the Eighth Amendment and does her d**ndest best to force him to liquidate his assets as her f***ing effort to nail his coffin shut. Why didn’t she put him in the stocks so all the fine New Yorkers could pelt him with stones and garbage… I thank my lucky stars I don’t have to live in such a pi$$-poor, lawless metropolis. IMHO, you people sold yourselves to the lowest, sleeziest, shyster lawyer around, you’re welcome to her and be d****ed. To you New Yorkers who take umbrage at the above, you can 1) blow it up your elbow, 2) take a flying leap at the moon, or 3) put it where the sun don’t shine. In short, I wouldn’t give a rat’s a$$ for your city, just don’t inflict your East Coast mores on the rest of us..

If Trump’s mom were alive today, maybe some messages she might send:
“Sweetheart, when you obsess about it publicly, it makes you look worried.”
“It’s heartbreaking to see you unravelling over what other people think of you. It’s time to make DONALD feel great again!”
“Donny dear, we’re thrilled you’re thinking those big, Presidenty thoughts, but every time you scream a new tantrum, it seems a little… scattered.”
