We are not effectively protesting the actions of the Israeli government if we continue to send them weapons and ammunition to facilitate their genocidal war.
They come out of the ground every 13 or 17 years to party: make a lot of noise, have a lot of sex, lay a lot of eggs, die young.
I love the cicadas and wish I lived where they are swarming this year. I will have to content myself with their kin, the annual cidadas. Less showy (all green, no red eyes), just as noisy, a lot less numerous.
Not good for birdcage lining – they are all glossy publications with not very good absorbant properties. Stay with the New York Post for that – the cheap acid newsprint paper works just fine.
