The answer to that is yes on multiple levels, the main one being Trump is no longer president.

Dad and I never had COVID-19. Hubby might have, but he always tested negative. We’re all well vaccinated. Vaccines save lives.

The brilliant PBS British Shakespearean comedy series Upstart Crow’ aired an episode called ‘A Christmas Lockdown 1603’, where Kate and Will are in London lockdown because of the plague. Their actions and comments draw clever parallels to the COVID lockdown 400 years later are absolutely hilarious.

Search argument pbs upstart crow episode lockdown

If you manage to see it on PBS or it’s available on your selected link, turn on the Closed Captioning, since the rapid-fire Brit Shakespearean colloquialisms and malapropos are (to use their lingo of the day) “a clever clishma-calaverous collection of linguistic poncy-cobbling and bellicose bavardage.”

BTW, my husband gave me a copy of his multi-year text file collections of delightful. insightful, and oft-time hilarious political ripostes to reference. The above was a copy/paste from his voluminous collection.

Bennett blew his chance. The toon should have shown heaps of dead Palestinian women and babies with that sign. To ask it about ourselves ignores situations that are much more important than our oblivious self-satisfaction.

If you are better off now than 3 years ago, you might be an illegal immigrant. The rest of us are suffering thru higher gas, electricity, mortgage, grocery, car, housing costs. “The real job is not cleaning up the mess that Biden created. By every measurable standard yes. But as always there are things that haven’t changed or gotten worse for some people and the faux news/maga crowd will put those exceptions on display to “prove” things are supposedly worse than they were in the disaster that was trump.

Yes, the USA was better 4 years ago. Reasons: Afghanistan, oil and gas prices, irresponsible border policy and ignoring that crisis, crime, inflation…and all that from a President who spends 40% of his time out of the White House. Better off? Most assuredly.

When Biden ONLY succeeds at rebuilding the economy, passing the biggest infrastructure bill in decades, achieving a BIPARTISAN bill to improve border safety(then killed by the same republiCONS who demanded it for years), and many other benefits it’s the worst presidency in American history.

When trump fails to deliver ANYTHING but a trillion dollar tax cut for the mega rich, corrupts the supreme court for decades, if not forever, presides over the worst failure of public health care since the Spanish flu, watches as our economy burns to the ground all the while claiming to be “a stable genius”, humiliates us by crawling in front of shootin putin and rocket man in NK, and ultimately attempts to overthrow the government…why he’s the best president we ever had! Just ask him or any of the magats. Just don’t ask them what he actually DID that improved anything because then they start to bulge their eyes out, yell at you, spit, and threaten you with physical violence.

(Can’t wait for one of the trolls to say “I know you are but what am I” and accuse Dems of what the repugs are actually doing.)

Overall, I am paying more for groceries and insurance. That said, I am doing better economically than I was four years ago.

But there are those who may not be doing better and might need some help. Therefore, I will be voting for Joe Biden and the Democrats, up and down the ballot. The Democrats want everyone to succeed, but the Republicans only want themselves to succeed.

75% of the people in this country live paycheck to paycheck. Inflation is 26% over the last three years. 75% of this country is worse off than they were 4 years ago.
