Ah city fools will never knows the charm of farm. And the fresh cow meelk is the best. Unlike steenky packaged meelk in city. Not to mentions the fresh air and so many pets in and outside of barn. Phoeey to steenky towns and beeg steenky cities.
I think I will just wait for the Mooovie, hopefully they do not try to milk the under dog angle too much. (yeah i did steal half of this joke from codycab, who’s gonna stop me?)
I love these older comic strips, the way life used to be and reminisce about the good ‘ol days. We should have more fun reminiscing about the past and how we got to today. Remember people of today, if it wasn’t for the people of yesterday, you wouldn’t have the luxuries of today!!! ❤️ So enjoy!!! ☺️
I have fond memories of “helping” my cousins milk the cows when I was small, and having fresh milk from the Jersey cows squirted into my mouth like I was a barn cat.
The most important part of learning to milk on the farm is telling the difference between a cow and a bull. Mom sent me out one day with Dad to learn to milk. Dad thought it would be funny to have me milk old Chester. Well after Chester kicked me in the head and Doc Boy and Dad about died from laughing, Mom and Aunt Gussie came a running out to see what the commotion was all about. Just about that time Herman Post come by with the mail, looked at me lying there on the ground, looked at the bull and said, “That boy ain’t right.” In chapter two I will talk about how to get hoof dents out of your skull.
Put the bucket in place, squeeze the cow’s nipples, and hope she doesn’t attack you. If you try the same thing with a person who doesn’t wanna be touched, you will get slapped.

Jon, don’t forget the most important tip, tie down (or up) the tail or she’ll whack you with it and the milk will get spilled.

It’s titled… “Jon Milks the Bull”. While having a Happy Ending, it does not end particularly well for Jon.

And milking is an art. Knowing how to dodge a cow’s wet tail while "stripping " the udders is a skill in itself.

Jon’s writing could be an interesting little book to read. But, please, please let noone make a movie about it.

Oh, that should be a bestseller… NOT! No one would want to buy a book written by Jon Arbuckle.
