Marcie is a serial abuser

And I always had Peppermint Patty picked out for being the tomboy.

This strip was drawn in an era when “no” could mean try again.

I hope he has good Floyd insurance.

He’s a relentless ahole that keeps calling her “Lambcake” instead of her name, and then has the gall to uninvitedly put his arm around her!

There was a television show on around the time of this strip. One of it’s favorite punch-lines was “Sock it to Me!!!” The name of the show of course, was Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.

“How was your summer camp, Floyd? I got hit by this one girl a lot..can I go back next year?”

Floyd, I think you’d better stay away from Marcie. She’s way too aggressive for you.

You pushed a little too far, a little too quickly Floyd. Look how long it took you to get Marcie to even talk to you.

Floyd’s stupidity is the best reason for Marcie to avoid him. She should but him in a box and mail him to Abu Dhabi.

WHOA! Look at where Floyd’s hand is. He was rounding first base and trying for second, cut down mercilessly trying for the steal.

I admire someone who never gives up.

Okay, NOW he’s creepy.

Reminds me of Wild Over You (1953, dir. Chuck Jones) in which Pepe le Pew gives unwanted attention to an escaped wildcat (with a white stripe painted down her back, of course) who proceeds to tear him up for his trouble. After a few seconds of stunned blinking, Pepe’s first response is, “I like eet!”

Good for you Marcie, He deserved to get that one big time.

I take yesterday’s comment back Floyd has learned nothing !

Next time,try “Sweetie Puss”.And wear a catcher’s mask.

Now Marcie will have to pay his hospital bills

Give it up kid. Sadly enough there are people out there who have been so convinced that they can’t be good enough to love, or that any touch is bad, that there is no way through to them.
