When America’s Top Model was on the UPN network, the local affiliates were asked to stage “cattle calls” where we collected names and photos of potential contestants. The turnout was amazing. Each girl got a few minutes on camera to talk about themselves. A lot of them described themselves as supportive and friendly and not total b!tches like some of those girls on the show. We weren’t there to coach them, but we felt bad for the ones who said that. Didn’t they know?
