Already a republican senator – Wicker – tried to take credit for the restaurant amendment but still didn’t vote for the ARP. No honor. No scruples. “Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) on Wednesday applauded a portion of the American Rescue Plan that provides relief for restaurants after he voted against the COVID-19 relief bill as a whole.

Wicker in a tweet celebrated that Congress approved a $28.6 billion grant program for the restaurant and bar industry as part of the $1.9 trillion relief bill. He and Sen. I thought of what Biden should have done: Districts and states whose representatives and senators vote against the bill don’t receive the money. Apparently it’s what what their voters want.

Did you all see how fast many GOP congressmen were touting the benefits their constituents were about to receive yesterday afternoon?
