There’s a simple test. Ask the experts. Medical experts are pretty universal in their opinion that masks help in conjunction with social distancing. On the other issue, experts and actual experience and data have Shown time and time again that vote-by-Mail is at least as safe as in-person.
It is written thus: ‘And he shall be called Buttercup, the Twitterpated, and his reign shall leave a boil on the butt of mankind for decades.’ Let the people say AMEN!! [with thanks to Flip Wilson]
Masks work best only if you wear them. And even then, they work best at preventing you from spreading the virus to someone else. Like me. But since that is a Fascist Infraction of Your Civil Rights, I can only hope you’ll forgive me wearing a mask since it’s the best defense of my health available at present. I assume that is the new argument for men who feel a condom, which is pretty much the same thing in another context, is a Fascist Infraction of their Civil Rights. (And anyone declining intimate contact to such a man can now be safely labeled a “hater,” “brainwashed,” or a “coward.”) /TS
The Covid-19 virus is a force of nature like gravity. If Trump issued an executive order repealing gravity, would his base jump off rooftops in defiance? The virus is going to obey the laws of nature regardless of the wishes of man. The virus doesn’t care.
The virus is an equal opportunity parasite. It infects everyone regardless of political affiliation, religious beliefs or government regulations. The virus doesn’t care.
Believing that staying at home is a deep state plot to make Trump look bad will not protect you from the virus when you go out in public. The virus doesn’t care.
Believing that social distancing is a hoax will not keep you from getting infected or infecting someone else. There is this sciency-thing that says that the rate of infection is inversely proportional to the distance between people. Ot to put that in simpler terms: the closer you are, the more likely you are to get sick. The virus doesn’t care.
Believing that wearing a mask is a violation of your civil liberties (I’m sure it’s in the Constitution somewhere) doesn’t keep you from spreading the virus even to people you love. The virus doesn’t care.
Believing that you can ONLY practice your religion in an officially-recognized place of worship (God isn’t everywhere) will not keep you or your pew mates safe. The virus is an atheist. The virus doesn’t care.
Believing in blaming China for the virus instead of trying to control it at home will not make it go away. The virus doesn’t care.
You can believe and do whatever you want. The virus doesn’t care.
Common sense is not a blessing, it’s a curse because you have to put up with everyone who doesn’t have any! Common sense says masks hinder the transmissibility of particles between individuals. Benjamin Franklin once observed that while we are all born ignorant, some of us work very hard to stay that way.
And this feed that says it is riddled with fraud; did it include any evidence or examples, or anything approaching a sane explanation of how the safeguards could be overridden?
Sure, let’s muddy the waters by suggesting that sources that promote facts (her feed) is just the flip-side of sources that promote false narratives and trumpian agendas (his feed).
Google gets paid according to the number of links you click. Really. So it actually uses a heuristic in which it remembers who you are (see also “browser fingerprint”) and deliberately shows you links that you’re likely to click. So if you have some bias or other toward clicking… oh… links to cooking sites, you’ll get a lot of those even when you search for something like “the meat of the matter”. Meanwhile, your spouse, who has a bias toward hunting sites will get links to places about cooking game.
I use Google when their behavior is helpful! to get me to sites that discuss the things I work at. When I’m looking for more generic information, politically charged subjects, etc. I use one of DuckDuckGo, Gibiru or Oscobo: Search engines that do not bias their results based on who you are. Because I don’t like being stuck in an island of like-thinking posts!

Simple, anything the Idiot in Charge says or does is a lie, so you can believe the opposite. Leadership in reverse.
