That someone was the Democratic Party, whose party leadership in 2016 coronated the only person in America capable of losing to Trump. In their hubris, they thought that the Clinton name, like the Kennedy name was all that it took.

Carolina Beach, south of Wilmington, NC – hardly any night life, but that’s what we want.

We go in April and October around our birthdays. It’s off-season and there are no crowds.

We eat at the restaurants, sometimes take the ferry to Southport to shop in the shops or maybe visit the Aquarium. We almost always have one night where dinner is ice cream.

Of course, we walk on the Beach.

We sit at night on the 11th floor (well above bug level) looking out over the ocean, sipping wine.

Sometimes mother nature will provide a light show for us in the form of a line of thunderstorms tens of miles out at sea.

As long as the protests remain non-violent, they should continue under the First Amendment. If the protestors violate a law, such as trespassing, they SHOULD be arrested on that or other misdemeanor charges.

It is called “Civil Disobedience” and that kind of protest is why we no longer have separate but equal schools and segregated lunch counters. Drastic injustices deserve drastic countermeasures. When Israel uses weapons supplied by the United States to subjugate the population of Gaza, people die. When demonstrators block traffic, people are late for work. There is NO comparison.

As a citizen, you have a right to disagree. You do not have a right to punish them simply because they do not think like you do.

I used to drive from Tacoma to Bellevue daily. The trip took about 1.5 hours. One morning as I was attempting to merge onto I-405, the care behind me pulled out and passed me as I was trying to merge into the lane. He then proceeded to zoom, change lanes and brake at every opportunity. Eventually, I lost sight of him in the rest of the traffic Meanwhile I just sat back and tried my best to enjoy the ride.

I got off at my exit 11 miles later. He was in front of the car in front of me at the light. I was relatively relaxed, I imagine he was frazzled and still had a whole day of work in front of him.

    By the numbers:

You have a 50 mile commute to work. You can drive the speed limit: 65 mph or an insane and unsafe 80 mph. The difference is about 8.5 minutes.

Of course this is unrealistic when traffic limits everyone to about 15 mph.
