Our marriage almost fell apart (40 years ago) over photo albums. My parents (bride) would not pay for the album for groom’s family – the package came with 2 smaller albums, one for each set of parents. His parents were being annoying in general. We told my parents that we would pay for the album for his parents to resolve it. Then his mom would not pick photos and return the proofs as she wanted to make she should had photos – so the albums were not even ordered for almost a year. Luckily the photo company was one we had worked with while in college as I was editor in chief of the yearbook so we were able to explain to them what was going on.
We kept our families apart for a number of years after we married to prevent conflict.
This started husband’s common phrase to me – I had not wanted a wedding, he and our mothers did. “Meryl is always right.”

All I have from mine, is the wedding photo. Still have her, after 45 yrs. I look at her, and it brings everything back, so don’t need an alblum.

Take the photos out, put them in a shoe box, and bam, you’ve got a new free photo album! You can put your photos from Africa in it!
