The important thing about power is that you gain it and hold onto it. Everybody else is too stupid and otherwise mentally and emotionally deficient to effectively wield power. They aren’t as good as you. They aren’t as smart as you. And gosh darn it, people have to be coerced into liking you more than them.

Mr. Bell puts voice to a reality of the Democratic Party in the past. My party has always touted our “Big Tent” and, in truth, our ‘tent’ HAS always been bigger than the Republican’s “Tent”! The point is that the two tents are BOTH structured so as to restrict WHO can speak, once they gain entry!

Both parties MUST exercise restraint in their restrictions of public voice of dissenting opinions within the rank-and-file, but, having said that I MUST reiterate the idea that once your party makes a decision on platform or candidate, that decision MUST be supported and supported wholeheartedly! There are very few things more pathetic than a disgruntled party member whining about how “their party” is doing things wrong while remaining in the party that is wrong!

If you vehemently disagree with the party and STILL remain within the party then you are exposed as the WORST KIND of hypocrite. Support your party – fight like hell for your beliefs! But, once your party has made a decision, shut up and support your party wholeheartedly – or get the hell OUT!

He didn’t even know he was running, and he didn’t want to run once he found out – but now that he’s ahead of the incumbent, he should ride it as far as he can go. If he’s elected he’s set for life – he can max out his retirement benefits with a full income for life as “retirement” for 2 years of work as a representative. With full medical for life. Nice benefits!

Yep, the Democrats suck. But they have an ace up their sleeve, which is that the Republicans suck a lot more!

I have walked away from both parties. They demand our unquestioning support, yet, they do nothing in return for us citizens, and everything for their wealthy supporters. I do make a point of voting regularly, usually voting third party. The 2016 election was clearly rigged to that non-choice of Trump and Clinton, and absolutely no third candidate or independent candidate.

For years, I have pressed that the bottom of the candidate list should have “None Of These” or “None Of The Above – ‘NOTA.’” They should be fully counted as valid votes. As, I judge from numerous private conversations, far more, who stay home would more likely come in to vote. The named candidate, who receives the most votes would still win, but, imagine that “winner” trying to claim a “mandate,” against a major number of votes for “None Of The Above ‘NOTA.’”
