Hmmm . . . big bowl of orange stuff . . . squash? Sweet ‘taters? Punkin’ pie filling? Wrong for Elvis, but so right for Gent & us other fans! Likely, Woman is faking the Boys out with a ham decoy to protect the real thing!

In related news, my 4-month old kitten recently learned how to jump onto the kitchen counter. She just stands right at the base of the counter, wiggles her butt, and jumps at least three vertical feet. She always scores a perfect landing – before she gets shooed off with the no-no spray bottle, that is.

When my cats jump up on the counter, many times things “fall off accidentally” and get broken. Can drive me nuts.

We have one who is an acrobat and a klutz. You can imagine the chaos that can ensue.

We need their supervision, but please not on the food or other kitchen counters.

Elvis, get off the counter before you break something.

I have a canine supervisor.

She stays on the floor.

I forget how I trained them, but my guys stayed off the counters and dining table. At least when I was there. Even so, food still came with a cat-hair garnish: it’s inevitable, deal with it.

I wonder if Georgia makes a ham especially for the cats on Thanksgiving. :D It would certainly deter them from the guest of honour: the roast turkey!
