Poor grandpa!!

Lots of people take decades-old comics far too seriously, particularly when they impose modern ideas on them.

Ironically, C&H is one of the best comics ever, so grandpa can’t be right. About the talking heads comics now, I still love xkcd.

Babies and little children are given away to kindergarten and grandpas and grandmas to nursing homes, it exists no more family!!

Who are we to talk? Most of us are that age and still read comics.

I was an adult before I realized the other gag of this strip- that it’s literally just two talking heads.

Comics are meant to entertain people and provide them with laughter. When people take them too seriously it defeats the purpose.

Nursing homes? For what – liking the “funnies?” We’re all in trouble, then!

Bill Watterson was constantly railing about the restrictions of the newspaper format; he is “grandpa” in this strip.

Nope. Not an option. Not as far as i’m concerned.

Three cheers for GoComics! I think the number and the variety of comics they offer ,from Little Nemo to InSecurity, would please even Grandpa.

No, I agree with him. Today there’s this comic where a spiky haired kid and a hairy man with big ears talk about nursing homes or something!

All I ever read in the paper is the comics. It’s just not worth my time to try and figure out what in the rest of the paper is true.

Calvin’s Grandpa wouldn’t be happy trying to read “Citizen Dog” online. GoComics has shrunk them down to almost nothing.

Cross your eyes on the panels and you can immediately see the differences.

True story—-I went into an office supply store and asked for a typewriter eraser……the clerk looked and me a bit, and then she asked: “What’s a typewriter?”

This is brilliant.. have to look twice to see that every panel is drawn again from scratch, with slight differences. Watterson is a legend.
