    Most of those bands don’t exist anymore; those selling the rights to their songs are management companies put in place to keep growing whatever money was left so the survivors of the band members would have something to retire on. Kind of musical life insurance policies…

    More like Bob Dylan (Robert Zimmerman), who didn’t even show up for his Nobel Prize for Literature presentation, thereby renouncing the $900,000.00 prize money. He did receive his gold medal and Nobel diploma.
