    …….do that……it’ll make the various ‘n sundry stains, dead (some of ’em, anyway) bugs and vermin-holes easier to detect when they come for it and they’ll say “never mind, better haul that to the landfill”……..

    That sounds mean, but think about the toxic miasma that rises from the Penny’s sofa cushions. The HAZMAT fees would break Goodwill. She could try to make up for it by offering them a gallon of the soup, but – see above.

    Before the Salvation Army will send out a truck for furniture pick-up they send out someone to inspect the item and will only accept it if they think they can sell it as is. TV have to be < 10 years old.
