Miss Plainwell says, "How far did you swim today?" Frazz says, "3,000 yards, 2,800 meters, 1.5 miles, nine furlongs." Miss plainwell says, "?And nine furlongs?" Frazz says, "Not 'and.' 3,000 yards or 2,800 meters or?" Miss Plainwell says, "Somebody needs one of those lap counter things." Frazz says, "Or one of those attention span things."
I still don’t understand why the US-Americans use a decimal numbering system while failing in metric units. They should be consistent in their historic crockery and stay with the use of a loosely base12 counting.
