The ‘wood panel’ comment is a tip o’ the hat to a guy in the local freelancer’s group. You wouldn’t think it to look at him, but his first job was as a telegrapher. Then, he worked as a lumber buyer for a TV/Radio manufacturer (they used the lumber to fashion fine cases for their systems) He’s also had some other professions that have all become obsolete over the course of his lifetime. I still think a computer with a fine wood case would look simply smashing.

beviek – since this is my real job (Allan’s Computer & †ech Support) I can tell you, if you listen – REALLY LISTEN – to a computer guy (or your grand kids!) when they explain stuff, and/or write down what they say, Windows 7 will become far less confusing..One of my FAVOURITE things about Win 7 (and Vista) is the Start Menu’s “instant find” … In the last year, I’ve opened “All Programs” 5 or 6 times. All other times, I press “Start” and than type the program/document/photo etc I want, and select it from the panel on the left. Such a time saver!

It’s so nice to see the entire Bucket family together especially deciding on one thing.

Me and my friend were doing work on Microsoft Word and she noticed it wasn’t doing the spellcheck and I asked one of the technicians ( who was trying to solve the problem) " Have you tried restarting it?" he done that and the spellcheck was working again…

He said I was a " Little Genius" And I only guessed.

    Haha!

Allen, Allan. Close enough, no? With my wife’s accent when she means Allen it comes out Ellen and when she means Ellen it comes out Allen.

My home computer has Windows 7 or whatever. The tutorial and manual are all online. And I want to read things that are clear like this instead of faded. Which is what all sites are doing these days. Its really hard on the eyes.
