Liz should have asked Elly if she gave permission for April to go down to the river. That may have saved Farly’s life.
Because in the 90s … parents sent their kids out to play for hours on end, without supervision. Now, April is too young to be alone, but like many Boomer parents, The Patterson’s think children shouldn’t be heard, or seen.
