Scott is neither serious or original. When a toon speaks to the human situation, the right-wing talking points are silent. So Scott has to create the illusion that his generic stance will have to involve words he doesn’t understand to cover what he can’t comprehend.

Ira, despite those above being quite credible I must disagree. Bush would have waited for Cheney to tell him what to do. I’ll speculate that “Haliburton will fix it” would be the answer. In the meantime he would have gone to Saudi Arabia and held hands with King Fahd.

Has anyone else noticed that this cartoon is less about Obama and more about the abundance of helpful advice-givers ever-ready to tell the President how he’s getting it wrong?

No, it’s about how Obama has been crushed flat by EVENTS, Dmajor. Just what those EVENTS are, we don’t know. Toles appears to find such details unimportant.

Either that, or this is like the end of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, and Obama is about to peel himself off the floor, cackling madly.

If Bush had attempted to handle 1/10th the issues Obama is now working with, he’d have totally screwed up everything. Wait, he only had one issue on his mind (starting a war with Saddam) and he STILL managed to screw up everything!

The world, and Congress, at this point in Bush’s first term had nothing but sympathy, and offered nothing but help to him. He and Cheney turned their backs on the world, and those willing to help. Those who even attempted to challenge stupid decisions were called “traitor”. Those lined up willing to TAKE from us, got everything they wanted.

The steam roller is still being operated by those same folks that got everything, and are totally unwilling to give an inch, or a penny of profit. May they all drive off a cliff, soon.

I’ve never read so much revisionist history. It must be exhausting make all this up.

According to you Libs he had to handle everything Obama is handling now and more, including 9/11; before he handed it off to O-slime-a. And he did it without double-digit unemployment. Poor, poor little “progressives”.

I wonder how he “did it” when he spent more time clearing brush than in office. I do believe he holds the record for most vacation.

Obama holds the record for most golf SO FAR of any Presidential term…add to that “shooting the hoops” and time in front of the mirror, has Obama done anything in the last year?
