Pfft. He’s PEERLESS! (just ask him).

But we’ve ignored that criterion for a long time. What the judge is looking for is jurors who don’t love him OR hate him. I have no idea whether the will result in idjits, hermits, folks who actively avoid the news or sociopaths. Gonna be interesting.

Kudos to the judge that refused to move the trial because of the Orange Horror Clown’s perchant for defamation and notoriety.

Trump’s attempts to shop for a different judge failed, so now his lawyers will attempt to shop for favorable jurors.

Too bad this trial is not in Arizona where the Courts would approve goin’ back to one of them Old West juries where small ranchers are the jury of peers for the trial of the land baron who’s been rustling their horses and grazing land…and, oh, yeah, assigning a “hangin’” judge would be a nice touch, of course.

Why wouldn’t any of the MOB want their peers to judge them, because their peers would be arguing who gets to take what when they convict the idiot who got arrested, and it is quite easy to order a hit there, like epstein, someone needs them to reinforce the bed frames in his cell, at his weight they would just bend

Why would anyone expect a fair jury selection process given all the corruption displayed to date by the DOJ and their local minions.

Innocent people have nothing to fear. Isn’t that the right’s mantra when some poor sap gets charged and has a court appointed lawyer who maybe had an hour to look at their case? What if Trump is acquitted? Then is the system “legitimate”? Or just until the next trial?

Reporter speaking to republican senator byron donalds:

“It’s a jury of his peers."

donalds: "That doesn’t work for me. Jury of my peers. Yeah, whatever. What else you got?”

Because the trump lackeys think no one else is on the level of trump.

I have to agree with them.

Seems like a reasonable cause to dismiss the case. The system requires peers and with trump as a standard.. it’s pretty well impossible to find any

I saw legal analysts over the weekend say that, at this point, his only gambits to further delay the trial are faking a serious medical condition (maybe he can ask for a competency hearing?) or try to fire his lawyers, which the judge can deny.

T will continue to do everything he can to disrupt the proceedings.“Nothing like this has ever happened before.” It’s an “assault on America”. He needs to keep his cult’s attention on himself and how badly he’s being treated. So Unfair… Same old rinse and repeat from the criminal, con man, toddler, spoiled brat crybaby . He’s simply an awful, POS excuse of a human being.

It would be funny if it weren’t so serious, all the crooks, liars, perverts, and violent crazy people who are in the right wing Trump camp. Hundreds of Trump people have been arrested, not to mention the Nov 6 Trump terrorists, hundreds of which are in prison where traitor Trump should be.

‘Hoo boy’: Pulitzer Prize-winning historian takes a hatchet to Trump’s Gettysburg rant

Stiles took a hatchet to Trump’s depiction of Gen. Robert E. Lee as a passive observer during the battle, when in reality it was Lee’s decisions that led to disaster for the Confederacy.

“Trump’s rambling, unhinged depiction of Lee is that of a great general betrayed by his stupid troops,” Stiles wrote on Twitter. “You’d never know he gave the orders for the campaign and battle. He said after Pickett’s charge that it was all his fault. It was.”

Stiles also whacked Trump for depicting Lee as a noble man despite the fact that Lee’s goal was to destroy the American Union.

“Let’s think it through: How can saving the Union be good — but the guy who tried to destroy it be good too?” Stiles asked rhetorically. “Worse than that, Lee issued orders on the Gettysburg campaign for his troops to enslave all the Black people they could find—not just ‘runaways’ but those born free. A system was set up for processing them. Of the many things the campaign was, it was also a big slave raid.”

Stiles then drew parallels between the history of the American Civil War and current events.

“Many still have a vague notion in their heads of Civil War history written by segregationists a century ago to serve an agenda,” Stiles contended. “It serves Trump’s agenda too.”

Criminal defendant Trump is crazier than an outhouse rat.

Besides being income tax day, the long anticipated trial starts today, regardless of whether they can find “peers” for a jury or not. Jury selection is expected to take a while. The trial time is being estimated to last for a grueling 6-8 weeks.

As of this morning, the stock is down yet another 17% trading at $26.96. This is down from it’s initial high of $71.93 on 3/27, not even a month ago. I’m guessing the combination of generating almost no income and its figurehead starting his criminal trial today isn’t great for investor confidence.

Former President Donald Trump was seen apparently “nodding off” during his hush money trial for allegedly covering up a sex scandal.

‘Old and weak’: Observers roast Trump for taking ‘nap time’ at hush-money trial

Former President Donald Trump reportedly nodded off during the first day of his hush-money trial in New York on Monday, and it didn’t take long for his internet critics to pounce.

trump fell asleep in court today. He might not take Biden’s title of president, but he can take that “sleepy” title he tried to hang on Biden.

As much as the pillow guy smooches trump’s buttock, you’d think this would be the one time he showed up for him.

    2 points to ponder.

tRump wants to delay the trial until the SCOTUS rules on his immunity bid. But the events in question occurred before he became president. Does he expect to be granted immunity retroactively, going back through his whole life?

Some of the jury questions were displayed on TV. One was whether any potential jurists had ever attended a rally staged by an anti-tRump group. But apparently they aren’t going to be asked if they ever attended a tRump rally.

Not all T-rump’s peers are incarcerated. Many are revealing just what a pathetic loser t-rump really is. Listen to Trumps own people.

    1. His vice president, Mike Pence said the American people deserve to know that President Trump asked me to put him over my oath to the Constitution. … Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.”

    2. His second attorney general, Bill Barr: “Someone who engaged in that kind of bullying about a process that is fundamental to our system and to our self-government shouldn’t be anywhere near the Oval Office.”

    3. His first secretary of defense, James Mattis: “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people – does not even try. Instead he tries to divide us.”

    4. His second secretary of defense, Mark Esper: “I think he’s unfit for office. … He puts himself before country. His actions are all about him and not about the country. And then, of course, I believe he has integrity and character issues as well.”

    5. His chairman of the joint chiefs, retired Gen. Mark Milley, seemed to invoke Trump: “We don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator. We take an oath to the Constitution and we take an oath to the idea that is America – and we’re willing to die to protect it.”

“THE DEPTHS OF HIS DISHONESTY IS JUST ASTOUNDING TO ME. THE DISHONESTY, THE TRANSACTIONAL NATURE OF EVERY RELATIONSHIP. THOUGH IT’S MORE PATHETIC THAN ANYTHING ELSE. HE IS THE MOST FLAWED PERSON I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE.”

What new stunt does the great con man have up his sleeve?

trump shows up in his jammies, a robe and a wheelchair. “I’m not a well man (cough cough) don’t know how long I can survive.” The old “sick man” ploy.

Sends Eric in his place, hopes no one notices.

Orders a life size cardboard trump to sit in for him.

Has Eric pull a fire alarm, for a short day.

Has his chair replaced with a Lazy-Boy, much better for napping.

Pulls a Spicoli and orders food, while in court. (reference to Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.)
