I would sometimes go to work with my dad on Saturday mornings. I learned how to drive a fork lift at a young age. The boss would “pay” me with whatever I wanted from the vending machines.

Looks like the M/F split in this group is acceptable. Don’t know their salaries, however.

Mimi doesn’t care, she just wants to sleep in Daddy’s arms. I wonder if Jimbo brought Pasquale to work.

A guy with a bow tie and suspenders wouldn’t be safe around a toddler.

One of the best ways I know of to bring work to a screeching halt is bringing in your newborn to show off. The next several hours will be pass-the-baby.

And, of course, you’ll have to be introduced to their daughters.

My dad was self-employed and when I was little he would bring me to work with him every Dec 24 – his logic was that no working done anyway.

At first he shared an office with my maternal uncle so I would get rather spoiled there between the two of them and their secretary. (Uncle did not marry until much later.) I could play with any rubber stamp I wanted to – except the one with his signature on it. I would have cocoa when they had a coffee break. Dad and I would go out for a LONG lunch and I would visit Santa. (His logic – no work really gets done on Dec 24.)

Later he had an office that was his, but the entire floor shared the receptionist and office doors were generally open unless there was a reason to close the door if privacy was needed. There was a conference room at the end of the hall. His first year there he told them that he was going to bring me in for the day on the 24th unless there was a problem with same. He was told it was not a problem and before he knew it everyone was bringing their children in and they had their secretaries (he did not have one) collecting for a Christmas party.

This all worked very well he later moved his office to nearer home and a couple of decades before he died it became “our” office when we worked together.
