    Wouldn’t have worked with my German shepherd. She chased a squirrel across the pasture past me, launched herself up at about 10 feet from the electrical pole the squirrel was on and snatched it off at the six foot mark!

    I had a big “jock” of cat who spent most of a week in a 200-year-old oak tree. She was chasing squirrels 4/7 (that’s maximum cat hours). Eventually she figured out the squirrels had the overwhelming tactical advantage of being able to run along the bottom of the enormous tree limbs.
