It would be a lot of work, but you could use a bucket to transfer water from the bathtub to the toilet or sink. That would reduce the amount of water pressure on the tail.
Lucy and Danae: Something Silly this Way Comes. Available on Amazon as Kindle e-book or paperback. They have their own book, which covers their first meeting.
All the discussions in the above comments, but no one praising Danae for finding a good way to get Lucy to take a bath. At least, she’s trying to keep her horse clean.
Years ago, my daughter became the proud owner of a registered all-white Pony of America (a Welsh Mountain Pony – Appaloosa crossbreed). She had long flowing mane and tail locks, and feathered hocks. When clean, she was absolutely dazzling.
Daughter hated to bathe her. As soon as she finished, the pony would go out in the pasture, find the biggest mud-slick or poop smear, and roll in it.

I have to wonder what he plans to do with that plunger…

Lucy lost all of her horse sense. She’s been hanging around Danae too long.

What, you never heard of the amphibious cavalry regiment?

What horse doesn’t like to do some snorkeling when taking a bath?

Love the expression on Lucy in the 3rd panel.

I only see fore-legs not four legs, or are those hind legs and we’re missing the other four legs?
See J.I.R. “Proof that Alexander’s horse had an infinite number of legs”

I have to agree about the plunger. It’s used to push water (and other stuff) down, not to pull it up.

That’s why it is recommended to wear your ‘indoor’ flippers. And about that making bubbles in the tub thing… (The dog did it.)

This is hysterically funny. One of Mr Miller’s best! I needed this laugh after today’s For Better or Worse.

Well, good! I’m glad there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for how and why Lucy managed to get stuck!

Whoops! Just noticed. Mr. Wiley, did you intend for Dana’s shirt to not have the normal death’s head inside the heart?

This is most definitely an older strip – so likely that Wiley is on vacation.
