I liked the Cap’n Crunch character (voiced by Daws Butler). I even sent away for a cardboard replica of a Cap’n Crunch hat. Took it to school and did imitations of the cereal commercial, that ended, “… But the best thing about my cereal is — it’s named after ME.”
Her life without drama, unlike an Andersen tale
Anna writes in her journal that her life is stale:
Fish of the boring same kind on each menu
Gray stark surroundings are her life’s bland venue.

Where is the wondrous joy the world might contain?
She feels almost like Hamlet, Shakespeare’s doleful Dane.
‘Wonderful, Lovely Copenhagen!’ What a joke!
Each time she hears that sung acid bile makes her choke.

If only she had some nice furniture, things might be fine,
But the sole type here is Scandinavian design.
Wooden plank floors echo with every shoe click,
Some nice bright rugs laid down would make the floors less slick.

Anna sits and thinks and would write her fantasies
Of Vikings and their raids upon the Baltic seas.
Christian monks did help to tame the blood in Danish veins,
If only she had lived in times before their moral reins!
