Biden also air dropped a bunch of supplies into Gaza. No water though. And doesn’t Congress approve all the budgets? You know, those same guys that don’t want to help Ukraine and Taiwan?

When the news came out about My Lai, Lt. Calley was a national hero. 66% of American approved of his actions (even after pictures of dead babies in a ditch) and there was a country music hit- Battle Hymn of Lt. Calley. Most American believed he was a scapegoat and what he did was routine. Nixon wasted little time in pardoning Calley.

Ted, I know you have your troubles with Joe Biden as president, but Dump is evil. Joe is just slightly ignorant of the systematic persecution of Palestinians by Israel. Most of our leaders are similarly ignorant, including Fuhrer Dump. But, Joe’s constant pressuring of Natty to ease up on the Gazans for humanitarian reasons is a sign that Joe doesn’t enjoy killing Gazan children. Natty’s continued prosecution of his war and persecution of the Palestinians has forced Joe to take matters into his own hands and do food airlists. Any further killing of innocent Gazans may force Joe into removing Gazans from harm’s way, whether Natty likes it or not.

Biden.. is between a rock and a hard place on this issue. He needs the support of the American Jews. But he (like all sane Americans) is deeply troubled by the retaliation Netanyahu has initiated on the Palestinian people.

Biden just told the whole world that the US is airdropping food to the Ukraine, while he was reading from cue cards! Earth to Susan Rice: They have these word processing programs that can make the font large enough for even Old Slo Joe to read.

Even Saturday Night Live is finally beginning to unload on Biden, making last Saturday the first time since 1988 that SNL was actually funny.

Biden does not give $billions to Israel at all. Biden does not give bombs to Israel nor defends Netanyahu at the U.N. nor anywhere else. Biden and Netanyahu are at odds and have been over Netanyahu’s violating agreements made since 1948. Biden has killed no children. The man in the comic has no idea what he’s talking about.

If US government funds disbursed to Israel (annually included in Congressional budgets since Israel became a nation in 1948) used against Palestinians who live inside the borders of that country result in the deaths of any Palestinians in any given year, then that is the identical outcome of Israeli governmental policy at any time 1948 to the present. The only difference between anti-Palestinian resident actions taken by Israeli governments 1948-10/7/2024, when death of Palestinians has been an outcome, is in scale.

Therefore, ALL US President’s and Congresses since 1948 have been guilty of genocide against Palestinians who are residents within the borders of Israel.

For over a millennia in recorded history, people of Jewish descent were persecuted for that ancestry. Rome, then all of Western Europe Christendom, then wherever Christians migrated outside Europe — not least, the United States.

The majority of humans were indifferent to this, if not approving of it. Until The Holocaust.

The scale of Holocaust murder (and the rest of the atrocities visited upon Jews [and members of other minority groups not often mentioned, and even less often empathized with]) is what focused attention on this event at the time and maintains its position at or near the top of the list of historical human atrocities. Well, least for the time being, as human history strongly indicates that as the years in the mirror count continues its relentless climb, human memory/attention diminishes drastically.

The scale of events in Gaza post-10/7/2024 has triggered intense emotional response to the suffering of innocents. An intense response which also distorts, blinds, reduces/closes access to objectivity. Enables — encourages — hasty ill-considered conclusions (and emotional investment in them) too often employed in policy formation-employment decisions.

Biden’s very competent State Department staff and military branch leadership have not — so far — made mistakes (below) …

… (cont’) with regard to the present Israel/IDF/Gaza situation which have potential for negative impact upon long range US Middle East policy, which for as long as petroleum retains its position as a planetary energy source is policy innately/continuously fraught with up to and including existential peril.

A certain political cartoonist — I won’t name names, here, but his initials are Ted Rall — calls President Biden a mean cuss and accuses him of partnering with Netanyahu in genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. I can’t say whether or not Rall has ever come out and accused Biden directly of genocide, or murder, using those two precise terms.

And Ted Rall has on at least two occasions which I CAN recall, because one is today and the other is almost as recent, labeled Ukraine as a ‘fascist’ nation. From my perspective, if Ukraine is ‘fascist’ so is the USA and most of the member nations of the EU, as well. Russia most certainly is, to a greater extent than all the rest combined, perhaps.

Speaking of Russia, and — in keeping with today’s toon theme of corrupt/evil/lawbreaking national leaders:

How’s about doing a ‘toon on Vladimir Putin’s policy of abducting children from areas of Ukraine overrun by Russian forces, and after stealing these youths from their parents, and separating them from siblings/grandparents/cousins/communities as well, then transporting those children to locations within the national boundaries of Russia, confining them in orphanages, and offering them for adoption to Russian families?

Estimates of the numbers vary at the extremes, but the sort of main stream media (which is all of the media consistently reliable/self-correcting/objective/& NOT far right wing!) that US fascists love to decry, all agree the estimate of approximately 20,000 such minor (18 years or less in age) captured human beings is accurate.

I am also appalled by what is happening in Gaza, but Netanyahu is the bad actor, not Israel.

Netanyahu is using this war, that he was instrumental in causing, to keep himself in power and out of jail. He is on the verge of his people removing him, because even Israeli citizens see that Netanyahu’s actions are NOT in the Israeli’s best interests.

There were Israeli citizens protesting at the U.S. consulate in Tel Aviv last weekend, asking President Biden to step in and stop Netanyahu. The only real way to stop Netanyahu is to remove him from power.

Israelis need to do that themselves or the U.S. is back to invading other countries for “regime change”.

Regarding U.S. funding for Israel, I agree that there should be no further aid to Israel until there is a ceasefire and diplomatic talks toward a two-state solution.

As far as I can tell, there hasn’t been anything sent to Israel since the Hamas-Israeli war began because Congress is holding up funding for all foreign aid, including Israel.

For those who enjoy observing karma in action: earlier today, Ted Rall insisted there was no evidence of Hamas committing sex crimes against Israeli women. This afternoon, the UN (not noted for pro-Israeli partisanship) reported that It had "grounds to believe that Hamas forces had committed sexual violence against women during the October attacks, including rape-murders and gang rapes, as well as later sexual abuse of female hostages. Waiting for Ted Rall to retract and admit error. Not holding breath.
