The Streak, Ray Stevens. Haven’t heard that in a long time and even had to look it up.

“Your drawing portrays a person who was shot dead on Columbia campus. Hasn’t happened.“

The text in the cartoon says “That‘s always worked out well in the past.“ and is a reference to Kent State, where students were shot by the National Guard.

The reasons for invading Afghanistan (and Iraq) were probably not straight forward.

It has even been said that Cheney wanted access to one of the countries to the north, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, or Turkmenistan, because Cheney wanted an oil pipeline from there through Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Anyhow, it was a mistake and many people died because of it, Afghans and Americans. And it is not even certain that Bin Laden was responsible for 9/11. And the Taliban are back. So, much ado (many deaths) about nothing.

I am. In WWII, Americans saved a large part of the world from the Nazis and the Japanese. Today’s MAGA people wouldn’t care. They do not even care about law and order in their own country.

The witness, Mrs. Daniels, has nothing to gain in this trial. Especially not money. But a lot to loose. If Mr. Trump wins the next election, he will pursue each and everyone who dared to speak out against him.

While that’s true, if someone slaps you – do you think it’s OK to kill him?

The question here is not who started it. The question is, whether IDF killing 34,000 Palestinians is a justifiable answer to Hamas killing 1,200 Jews. And on this point, it seems, many now believe that it is not justifiable.

The Jewish people were basically Canaanites with a religion of their own. It seems they came, at least partially, from the region that is today called Iran. But no matter where they came from: most of them left Palestine about 300 CE. If you leave your home for 1600 years, you shouldn’t expect that it’s still empty.

If “we have been here before you“ gives you the right to the land, why do Americans not give the land back to the indigenous people who lived there for thousands of years? The same holds of course for Australians, New Zealanders and the Turkish people. And many others.

And I still see no connection to Marx or Lenin. This is not about class, it is about land.

Demonstrations are like advertising, they use buzz words. There was a cartoon some time ago where a demonstrator held a sign with like twenty lines of politically correct formulated text, enumerating Hamas‘ killing and kidnapping, the settler’s actions in the West Bank, IDF‘s razing of Gaza, … That won’t work. You cannot comment against political correctness in one cartoon and then demand it in another.

What does Marxism or any of Marx‘ ideas have to do with the demonstrations for, or against, Israel‘s and Hamas‘ actions?

He‘s not part of the political establishment that many people hate. He ignores rules which is what many people would like to do. He says all the things about foreigners/aliens/immigrants people think but didn’t dare say themselves. He calls other people names, or makes fun of impaired people, which is always funny but wasn’t really considered polite or politically correct. So, he’s a hero who does, what others don’t dare. Admirable, isn’t it?
