We have Australian Rules Football, so why not American Rules Football?

I still don’t understand why we need to change it from soccer. Do we need to start calling eggs huevos because other parts of the world do? There’s many different words used around the world for every object that exists, why is “football” so special that we all have to have the same word and definition?

I always thought a good alternate name would be “Runball” or “Ovalball”.
