Based upon that logic, each person will get to decide which street gets repaved, which sewers are installed, whether the Army gets tanks or AF gets jets.
The public taxes are for public schools. If a parent wants to educate their child at home or in a private, secular or religious school, they have that CHOICE. But the public funds don’t flow from the public school.
From my very, very far away seat…it seems as though he’s decided to communicate his contempt for the last few witnesses by closing his eyes, reading the paper, etc…like “I don’t have the time or not worth my time”.
Would be very interesting to hear the juries opinion of this strategy. I guess we’ll get a sense in just a bit.
