I wish more women saw through this but they don’t and that’s how we get stuck with everything. Men do a lousy job of something, she gets fed up so he’s off the hook and that’s great for him. But he ends up with a tired, cranky, irritated and bitter wife and doesn’t understand why. So it’s a lose/lose situation for both of them.

My ex wife was impatient in demanding things. I would ask her, “do you want it done right or do you want it now!!?? She would reply, “I want it done right now!!”

If she’s gonna be that ridiculously anal about it then she can just do it herself! “Never been so embarrassed in all my life”?! Over a stamp? What a drama queen, what a Hyacinth Bucket lol

It’s one thing to be incompetent at something. But it’s a special low to purposefully mess something up just to get out being asked to do it in the future. That only applies to family matters. But passive-aggressive techniques like that are great in the workplace.

That’s one way to get out of the little task!

Keep flubbing up until they’ll do it themselves!

The husband of a friend of mine used this strategy for anything he didn’t want to do. He made a point of washing the dishes terribly, folding the laundry badly, that’s sort of thing. Not too long into the marriage, he had an ideal situation – his wife did all those pesky chores while he watched TV.

Things were going so great, he was truly astonished when she filed for divorce.

I’m surprised she didn’t complain that it was a “generic Holidays” stamp instead of a “Christmas” stamp. Yes, USPS puts out both each year; the Christmas stamp is almost always a painting of the Madonna and Child, and the Holidays stamp is something more secular (I think 2023 was snow globes, and 2022 was Christmas elves).

If I tried that tactic with my wife she would make me keep doing it until I did it right.
