What I am hoping/wishing/praying for is actual peace for all the people of that region. It is possible to care for the victims in Israel AND those in Gaza. It is possible to pray for healing of that devastated strip of land called Gaza and its terrorized people while still wanting real peace for the people of Israel.
I admit, though, that the leaders of both have proven themselves to be wicked, power-hungry, heartless monsters.

There was lots of power struggles between Roman and Jewish rule and many fought and died over land ownership. As the hippies once said, All the world needs now is love. IMHO, this cartoon deserves a Pulitzer Prize for its subtlety and impact. Nothing in it states that it depicts THE Holy Family — no halos, angels, ox or donkey. This family could be anyone caught in the tragedy of war. At first glance, the yellow objects look like stars. Then the bombs come into focus, and you realize that the yellow objects are light from explosions. Bravo, Mr. Alcaraz.
so how does that look from the perspective of all the innocent Jewish women who were raped so badly and then killed on October 7 that their hips were broken? or from the perspective of the grandparents, who have to mourn over their children who were shot and killed why they were throwing their bodies over their grandchildren to save them from the HAMAS barbarians. Lalo, you are not stupid. Netanyahu certainly has responsibility but not your average Israeli. you cannot make peace with people who refuse to acknowledge your right to exist, and they double down on that October 7. this is a war it’s not a police action. It’s a war, the enemy, dies in war, civilians die in war. What is happening in Gaza today is the result of a war that was started by Hamas. Hamus responsible these deaths are on hamas.
