The QPublicans DID vet him… and got what they wanted. (Both?) the (now) RINOs who actually try to do the job they were elected to do, which is the old school view of what their purpose is apparently decided that nothing good (for them) could come from voting against him for Speaker.

Considering that several cases are currently working their way through the courts regarding the 14th Amendment, it looks like not only will Trump be disqualified as a candidate, so will all the other GOPers that aided and abetted him. Most of the House GOP will not be allowed to stand for re-election in 2024.

Excuse me? He was elected by R’s in the House, they knew very well what they were voting for.

That last panel is just meaningless. He was voted in by cons, selected by cons, nobody else has a say in it.

What option did we have to vet him? Was the GQP going to listen to the American public? Since when?

He doesn’t believe school shootings happen because of teaching evolution; he believes they happen because of abortion, gay rights and no-fault divorce. Really!

He was not chosen by “God”. He was essentially chosen by far right congress people such as Marjorie Traitor Green, Lauren Vaper Boebert, Matt Gaetz, TFG, etc.

Do any of the far-right posters here want to correct me and insist that Donald Trump is God?

Republicans are the ones really sorry, because Dems couldn’t have asked for a better example of Republican extremism to hammer them with.

From Business Insider: “New Speaker Mike Johnson says the way to learn how feels about any issue is to read the Bible: ’That’s my worldview, that’s what I believe’”

Ok, anybody want to find something from the bible that really speaks to his worldview. This could be fun.

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. 25 And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.

    2 Kings 2:23-25

So, boys deserve to be mauled to death for being rude. Isn’t that admirable world view?

Oh they vetted him alright-he’s their perfect choice. Now it’s up to the people who voted him into the House to end this affliction.

Here in Wisconsin, where our Senator Ron Johnson is invariably a finalist in the annual Dumbest Guy in DC contest, speculation is that Mike might be his illegitimate offspring.
