Chanting “drill baby drill” in 2023 is the equivalent of chanting “typewriters baby typewriters” at the dawn of the home computer age.

As usual, the nuance gets lost in the broad strokes of “I gotta own the libs”. The implication that this ONE action will kill energy independence is beyond ignorant.

Do you understand climate change, Lisa? You know, all that about fossil fuels and greenhouse gases? Did you ever consider the dangers of increasing oil and gas extracting and burning? What decade do you live in?

So Hillary approves of selling of our uranium mining rights to Russia while Biden blocks mining for more. Why do the Dems seem hellbent on having our future owned by the likes of Russia and China?

You really have to go all the way back to what some obscure right-wing website published in 2018? If that’s the case, President Biden must be doing a great job!

If we have even a hope of saving the planet, then being oil independent can’t even be a big thing. Oil needs to be done away with along with coal and replaced with all kinds of alternative energy you can find. Let petroleum independence die and good riddance.

When trump took office, we were the number 1 exporter of oil and gas. When voted out in a landslide election we had dropped to number 2. I believe we are still number 2. They ship ours overseas and import from other countries. Adding to the cost. Shipping is not cheap. Used to be you couldn’t ship/sell raw oil out of the country.

If you really favored energy independence, you’d favor the development of solar and other alternative energy sources. As it is, you want to keep us energy dependent so a few very rich people can make more money in the short term.

Energy independence will be a network of both renewable and traditional energy sources. The days of strictly coal and gas are gone, Lisa. Get over it.

How many more summers like what we just went through have to happen before we change our ways? How many more species must go extinct because we are destroying the planet because of greed and stupidity?

Oil and gas are 19th-century technology that is killing us.

Fact of the matter is … we cannot drill enough or mine enough coal to keep up with demand for electricity. See Department of Energy website doe.govWe need to give up thinking that oil and gas are a solution and continue to develop the alternatives as fast as possible. The oil and gas lobbies are doing the same things as the tobacco industry did during the 70’s. That method killed (and will kill) many people.

True energy independence comes from producing energy that is not affected by the whims of the world markets. The extractive sources all trade there. WInd, solar, hydro and other renewables do not.

Do you left wing climate alarmists have any idea what is needed to produce an Electric Vehicle battery pack?

Thacker pass in Nevada is one of the biggest Lithium mines in the world. It takes 500 tons of ore to refine 25 lbs. of Lithium and about 1000 gallons of fuel to move the ore. Sulfuric acid is needed to refine Lithium and the Thacker facility requires 75 semi truck loads of acid every day.

The battery pack for a Tesla EV reguires:

    25 lbs. of Lithium.

    60 lbs. of Nickle

    44 lbs. of Manganese

30 lbs. of Cobalt (African child slave labor)

    200 lbs. of Copper

400 lbs. of aluminum, Steel and plastic.

To produce one Tesla battery pack requires a tremendous amount of power supplied by coal, nuclear or gas fueled power plants.

Do you really think this is clean Green Energy?

They’re just following orders… the impact doesn’t matter, it’s another pay to play scheme like Clinton’s Uranium One scandal and the Biden’s Burisma/Ukraine/CCP scandals.

Most politicians are bought and paid for and not working for you.

The unelected WEF rules our energy policies now as they purchase huge waterfront homes, fly in huge private jets, are driven in huge SUV limos and eat whatever they want with no regard to their carbon foot print or the environmental and economic impact of their green new deals.

A video emerged of World Economic Forum (WEF) founder Klaus Schwab’s daughter gloating that “climate lockdowns” are coming, as Slay News reported.

Nicole Schwab said during a WEF panel discussion that tyrannical restrictions during the Covid pandemic served as a precursor to coming “climate lockdowns.”

According to Nicole Schwab, Covid was a “tremendous opportunity” to test how the public would comply with authoritarian measures that could be used to usher in the WEF’s “Great Reset” agenda.

The WEF’s promotion of the “climate crisis” narrative seeks to “create a change that is not incremental…to position nature at the core of the economy,” according to the younger Schwab.-Slay
