They may be enjoying the ird bath, but then they have to work for their food and shelter. Once they learn to fly they are kicked out of the nest and never see their parents again. Fred you are living a charmed life.

The heat has got Fred down in the dumps. You would make a funny-looking sparrow, Fred, but as you—15 out of 10!

Ask your owners for an inflatable kiddy pool.

Yesterday, Fred was watching a trout and ended up wishing he was a trout. Obviously, there is a developing theme here.

Just a reminder folks, rinse out and refresh your birdbaths every day. They collect all manner of nasty things, including poop.

We have multiple water sources in the yard. Some birds like shallow still water, some like it off the ground, the hummingbirds like the bubbler in the fountain.

Yesterday envying a trout, today a sparrow. However, you Fred, as a dog, are widely considered to be a human’s best friend

“Early Fred” seemed to do a lot of wishing that he was something or someone else. “Later Fred” always seemed very content. But that’s just a sign of maturity…I think.

Fred ….. if you got a little closer to the bird bath, you could get some splash over ……. not much but a little …… ;)

I have a feeling that by the end of this thread he will be happy to be a Basset, our Fred
