Simple solution, that really requires very little change to how elections are run at the government level:1. Toss all eligible candidates into a pot and do a random drawing to create two pools of candidates 2. Every eligible voter it automatically (yes, there are difficulties here. Every election they are also split, randomly, into two pools matching the candidate pools3. Conduct a “primary” for each pool. The winners of each pool goes on to the “general” election.4. Conduct the “general” election, ensuring the winner gets a majority of votes.
This would force every candidate to speak to their entire constituency, not to the 15% that votes in their primary. This of course would never happen. The current parties would lose influence and control over the agenda.
Al Rasul (saaws) rose to his feet when a Jewish funeral procession passed by where he was sitting teaching. “But that was a Jew that died” protested several of his followers, scandalised. “Had that body not also been the abode of a soul?” asked the Prophet mildly. “Stand when a funeral cortege passes by, for it marks a soul going back to God”.
The funeral of the Palestinian-American journalist Shireen abu Akleh, murdered by Zionist forces during a raid on the Jenin camp, was disrupted this morning when IOF thugs attacked the procession, using stun and teargas grenades, beating mourners with batons, and riding horses into the crowd.
It’s events like that that make me, shamefully, think of the anti-Jewish catchphrase “6 million wasn’t enough”.

Currently the Lt Gov aiming for the open senate seat, Fetterman has 200K individual donors -88% of Pa’s zip codes. Well out in front —double-digit leads- of Conor Lamb and Malcolm Kenyatta going into the primary next week.
Now let’s see whether another Biden suddenly appears, complete with money and what’s called in spookland a “legend” that explains the inexplicable (as Biden’s sudden appearance from the political graveyard was “explained”) to pull the rug out from under him.
Let’s see, on the Blue side: Abortion – if the Supreme court over turns Roe, they are not making it illegal, they are throwing it back to the States; Trump – amazing that the blues are still fixated on him; Student loans – a loan is the responsibility of the borrower not the tax payer; Ukraine & Climate – both sides are actually concerned about these; Jan. 6th – don’t think people really care about it, the courts are handling it. On the Red side: Crime and Inflation – again both sides are very concerned about these; Migrants – actually it’s the ILLEGAL immigration that the Reds are concerned about, as everyone should be; Big government & and Wokeism – these two go together, as individuals are being dictated to by an over reaching government.
The media has done their usual: given the White-supremicist killer in Buffalo his desired publicity, and he looks out of the corner of his eyes and just sucks it up, almost smiling.
And the cops did their part, too: they didn’t even beat him up, but just talked him down and put the cuffs on. Very polite, showing a proper appreciation of the importance of his Europoid skin color.
He has a privileged given name, as well: “Payton”, perhaps signifying his parents’ idea of his special worth.
Naming is a class issue; most people are given everyday names that can be cut down and used as a nickname, so that the kid can get along with the other kids in the playground.
Kids who get names like Throckmorton or Eulalia get a shipment of expectation along with it. Their parents’ unspoken cantrip is that “we expect you to make a name for yourself”, though not many have “mass murderer” in mind as a first choice.
But to some such parents, even “mass murderer” would be preferable to one that gets a 1-inch spread in the local shopper rag such as this: “Throckmorton Poindexter retired today after 70 years as the town’s Waste Disposal Engineer, in charge of disposing of the bodies and innards of the many unfortunate non-humans hit and killed on the public thoroughfares by over-entitled children driving powerful cars. He will be missed and we wish him a happy retirement. Applications for the job are being accepted in the Clerk’s Office.”

allow the Repubs to win control. Overthrow the government and install a Parliamentary system. Majority rules.

Have never heard anyone on the Right call people “migrants”. It’s always “illegal aliens”.
