Happy daze…..

Gary and Susie, you are are doing a good job carrying on for Jeff.

I could do a cartoon. (I like to doodle from time to time.) But to do a new cartoon every day, seven day’s a week, for fifty two weeks. That is way, way beyond my capabilities. So my “hat” is off to all you professional cartoonists.

We love you and miss you Jeff! and good job carrying on, Susie and Gary! From BB/VA here in East VA.

Would today be a good time to suggest that it’s beyond time for GoComics to change its “Shoe” headline to replace Gary Brookins with the current Ben Lansing?

I always thought Wiz came after MacNelly stopped working on it.

Looks like they’re in Roz’s, but no Roz. Should have made some room for her … could have cut the left panel down a little to lengthen the right one a bit.

Where is Roz?Skyler too young for the bar, I suppose.

It was written and drawn by its creator, cartoonist Jeff MacNelly, from September 13, 19772 until his death in 2000. MacNelly’s last strip was dated July 9, 2000;3 it has since been continued by Chris Cassatt, Gary Brookins, Ben Lansing, and Susie MacNelly (Jeff’s widow).4

So it’s three cheers for cartoonists, then.
