Once my cat Ashley got her tail pinched under a rocking chair. She yelped and I went to comfort her but she was highly incensed at me. It wasn’t my fault, she had sneaked behind the rocking chair of her own free will. Her tail had a bent spot for the rest of her life.

My grandmother once cut about 3 inches off a cat’s tail that way.

Poor Muffin! My cat knows, by now, to steer clear of my stepping on her paw/tail. Fortunately, I don’t own a rocking chair!

Curiosity will……

I don’t have a rocking chair because of risks like this, also little child fingers. I want one, so I will be looking for one that is more of a chair with a base that can prevent this sort of injury. If I can’t find that, I won’t buy one.

I still use that saying, nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Must have gotten it from my grandpa.

That chair’s days are numbered, small numbers at that.

Surprised Opal did not see her cat. We had cat once would lay down at night wrong places and get stepped on.Not related today’s strip. For me I am very tired been a long day. Update, we had lite snow yet made it the hospital for hubby heart cath, the cardiologist was thinking of 2nd stent, once he started the heart cath stated the 1st stent was working okay no 2nd stent. The 1st stent was done 2010. Got to leave hospital 1;30 p.m. We left the house at 6 a.m. for the long drive. We are happy.

Watch out for that cat (or rocking chair)!
