    I have heard about it. I didn’t think potty training the cows would make a difference but I guess options for environmental fix ups had to be considered

    Decades ago, I got a degree in Watershed Science. I find myself baffled by the entire concept. This would only ever be practicable in a confined animal feeding operation – which are not particularly humane and have significant environmental issues, including poor waste handling. Free range and even dairy operations couldn’t use such a thing. Plus, what would be the purpose of concentrating the urine? Keeping it away from soil microbes doesn’t prevent anaerobic decomposition, which I would expect to be as bad or worse for the environment.
