Well, we could just tell GoComics that we don’t want to see any more of Boondocks. Not a solution that appeals to *me*, but hey, we’re all different here.

Shouldn’t be too many more of these, nighthawks. I think 02 or 03 was when he stopped drawing Boondocks?

I don’t mind a reminder every few years of each of these different ways of painting McGruder’s picture.

Imagining Huey at Thanksgiving grace time is rich. Grandpa is as pithy, pointed and wise as always.

When cartoonists quit when they’re done (as Breathed and Watterson have done), we’re way better off than if they continue to pump out empty schlock long after they’ve said all they had to say. I’ll take quality reruns over fresh tripe any day.

farren, if you don’t want to see any more of it, STOP READING IT.

That way, those of us who still enjoy it can continue to do so, without you popping ‘round to snark up the place.

Hey, farren was just ridiculing the previous comment, which in turn criticized GoComics’ de-synching of the reruns with the annual calendar.

Neither one of them criticized McGruder or the strip one bit. (Farren said removing the strip wouldn’t appeal to him.)

ted, even if you are right that those guys didn’t want to see the strip, you could follow your own advice by skipping or ignoring the comments that you find snarky.

Here, as everywhere, there’s gonna be chaff in the wheat - and life is easier for everyone if we all just sift it out as we wish. Changing other people is not just a losing battle, but one that’s no fun to watch.
