I’m a woman and I call bull on this. I still remember having lunch with a group of women in grad school, and the biggest feminist of the bunch said “I’m so glad there are no men here, it’s just us girls.” She would have had a fit if she had heard a guy say “I’m so glad there are no women here, it’s just us guys.” Sadly, back then I was too mealy mouthed not to call her out on it.
Gender discrimination works both ways. It’s just that traditionally men have held more power and caused more problems for women than vice versa. I remember all the sitcoms with the stupid husband/wise wife meme that women lapped up in the previous century.
