   Dear Teresa, styles morph over time. How arrogant would it be for viewers of art to tell a creator, “I don’t like your new style, go back to the old one.” Look at the first panel of “Calvin and Hobbes,” or “Luann,” or “Gunnerkrigg Court,” or “Wapsi Square,” compared to what the artists are producing today or produced at the end of their strip. Whether readers like the changes are irrelevant. Art is the expression of the soul of the artist. Those of us who enjoy your daily sojourns into the world of lameness will be delighted by the new as much as we have been by the old. Keep on being lame. (Uh, I mean, “awesome.”)
