Have you noticed that most of the people that are jubilant about Wall Street have little or nothing invested in it?? It’s only the rich that are overjoyed about it!! NOT the working poor!!
The Republicans want money to go to the rich rather than the middle class because they trust those who were smart enough to become rich will manage the money well, working on the theory that they will “trickle it down”, and everyone will benefit. This is the standard Republican rationale for giving money to those who are already rich. Trickle down has never worked, as far as raising the standard of living, anywhere that it has been tried. And, it is completely illogical to believe that it ever could. If you are paying a guy to cut your lawn and he’s doing an adequate job, then you get a tax refund, do you raise his pay? Neither will the 1%ers. The only reason to spend more on hired help is that you need more workers to get the job done. The only way more workers will be needed is if there is an increased demand for product- in other words people are buying more stuff. The only reason people would be buying more stuff is that they can afford it. And, the only reason that they could afford more is that they are the ones getting the tax cuts, not the rich guys. Trickle down just gives the rich guys more money to hide offshore , or more money to buy more politicians to write laws so they have more money to hide offshore. If you want that money to stay in America, increase production, and raise everyone’s standard of living, trickle UP will do the job, not trickle down.
Benefits? Workers’ have benefits? When? How? As well as having work, they have benefits? Are the one percent aware of this grave injustice? What can we do to level the playing field?
All those families to whom our church is bringing food and those families for whom the church is paying the rent so they don’t get evicted and all those people for whom we buy medications that they can’t afford and our homeless dependents – ALL of them Americans are doing backflips over how well the stock market is doing.
Trumpers still believe that the big permanent tax cuts for the rich will trickle down to the average worker… my Trumper nephew is still sure that Trump’s tax cuts will make him rich, although he continued to complain about being broke all throughout Trump’s term…

The proportion of wealth in the USA today is worse than it was in France in the 1780s.

If low-wage workers had been paid to keep up with inflation, they’d be making $22 an hour; as it is: $7.25

T – is for the Traitors that he praises
R – is for Republican he is
U – is for Utter scorn for others
M – is for the Monster that he is
P – is for the Putsch he tried to pull
Put them all together they spell Tru-ump: a name that means the world to GOP.
