It’s so funny that question comes up so often when someone finds out you are doing therapy. Family and close friends want to know if you talk about them. And then they want to know what you say about them.
We may have forgotten in the Era of Let It ALLLLLL Hang Out, but privacy is FAR from a curse! To paraphrase Shakespeare, it is twice blest’; it blesseth him who IS private and all who benefit from that privacy (i.e., don’t have to participate in the minutiae of others’ love lives, digestive processes, dives into the deepest corners of paranoid hell, etc., etc.) No, Privacy is much desired and worth more than fine gold!
