    Actually spiders can fly. I saw one flying over a river in Wisconsin last summer. It had let out a long strand of web and the wind was carrying it hither and yon.

    Fun fact: Spiders can fly (more float or drift through the air) using a process called ballooning. They release several fine silks that catch the breeze and carry them off. I have seen it before, quite cool.
