If something isn’t done to remove the Orange Insurrectionist, NOW, regardless of how little time he has left, you know it will set the precident that next time, a far more insidious would-be despot can have all the time needed to successfully pull off a coup, as the Constitutional wheels to stop it turn too slow.

He needs to be tried and convicted. He needs to lose his pension, his Secret Service protection, and any chance to ever run for any office including dog catcher.

@Patjade That might also apply to rioters who receive benefits from previous government service, but who trampled their sworn oaths into the broken glass and vandalized premises of the Capitol Building, and who thereby contributed to the death of a police officer who died in the performance of his duty.

An oath to uphold the Constitution is difficult to enforce, as even the SCOTUS can’t agree on what it means.

I have and HTA file on my computer. An HTA file is like a HTM file, it’s something a browser can read and display only it’s on your computer and not on the web.

This file pops up a small window and it has a banner with an event name and the countdown of days, hours, minutes and seconds until the event happens. I programmed it to count down to January 20, 2021, 12:00:00.

As of this posting: 10 days, 3 hours, 45 minutes, 10 seconds.

Before that, I would like to see justice done.

Just as the vaccinations have not stopped the pandemic.. Jan 20th ain’t gonna fix trump. His army of fools will stand with him so long as Fox News and it’s ilk keep encouraging.

Jan 20 will be the start of the new year without vicious lying racist Trump.

Sometimes all that it takes for a good nation to fall to dictatorship is not complicit agreement but complacent silence. It does not matter if that silence is from fear caused by intimidation because once authoritarians win then the fear will truly be far greater.

Impeachment is not about punishing Trump. It is about sending a message to the next wannabe dictator of the United States that such ambition will not be tolerated. Backing down because it might “upset” his “base” is capitulation to the rioters and appeasement.

When does the executive order cancelling January 20 come from the orange turd?

He needs to be removed ASAP and then arrested and charged with sedition. No self-pardon. He needs to spend the rest of his days behind bars.

Mel Brooks would have built a fake Capitol Building with cardboard people. Then loaded the place up with TNT and installed a toll booth to slow them down until they were all inside . . .“Blazing Seditionists” ?
